But my field has +1000 values, i don't want to create 1000 UPDATE sentences.

Hi,

Inputfield is pointing to a variable, then the sql statement just to call the variable.

Hello Sebastian,

I've the same issue. I've couple of input fields, whcih I am using to calculate FIELD(Z). I want to modify FIELD(Z) as I input new values.

Example:

Field-A         Field-B         Field-C       Field-D  (Field-C is input capable)

  10                  2                .20            10 * 2 * (1 - 0.2)    = 1.6

Now I'm going to change  Field-C from 20% to 50%

10                   2                .50            10 * 2 * (1-.5)       =  1.0  ---NEW VALUE (How do I achieve this)

I want the user be able to play with few attribute to see how it affects their Sales.

Hi Prabha,

You should use a Pivot or Straight Table. Field-A, B and C as Dimmentions, but field D must be an expression.

Create an expression like:

Field-A * Field-B * (1 - Field-C)

If i didn't understood, please send the qvw.

Hi,

First sorry for my English ...

I need to do an update of many records, after changing a field inputsum ([Invoice Amount]).

I change the total value with the function inputsum (). The value of inputsum ([Invoice Amount]) is divided into n records correctly.

Then I do update the field [Corrected Invoice Amount]) on n records, using the value of the field [Amount Invoice].

On only one record I can do it, but for many records I do not know how. Should I use a macro, but do not know them well.

Can you help?

Thank You.
