Selecting inverse of selected item within a straight table

I would like to deselect one item within a dimension on a straight table.  For example: I have a list of customers and I want to select the inverse of a selected item.  If I select one item, it removes it from my current selection.  I do know that pre-selecting all of the items first, then using the “Ctrl” key on the keyboard to deselect an item will work, but it’s not the most efficient way since I am dealing with millions of records.  Any tips would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

You can select the one item you want to exclude and then right click the listbox and choos Select Excluded. That inverts the selection so everything but that one value is selected.
