Qlikview Upgrade on Server

Hi Team,

So far we have got only the manual process for performing qlikview upgrade on the servers from the Qlik Community,

is there any way we can perform unattended installation.

Please suggest.

Regards,

Susmit

Hello @Susmit

On the help page it shows:

QlikViewServer_x64Setup.exe /s /v"/qn+ Addlocal="all" IS_NET_API_LOGON_USERNAME="Domain\username" IS_NET_API_LOGON_PASSWORD="password""

You opened the " here  v"/qn+

but never closed it.

The popup window you see is due to incorrect/missing parameters.

If you upgrade Qlikview it will use the same settings you already had, meaning it wouldn't revert from iis to Qlikview Webserver if you are not actively choose that path.

You want to use a higher version of the exe file than the Qlikview Version installed, for your testing.

Best regards

Sebastian

You can perform a silent installation for QlikView. See help link below

Hi Maria,

No, we didnot try the full upgrade process. When running the command:QlikViewServer_x64Setup.exe /s /v"/qn+ Addlocal="all", we the windows installer dialog as attached in the screenshot, should we proceed by clicking ok?.

Other open questions:

1.To test the process do we need to use .exe files for different versions or using the same version the process can be completed, just for testing.

2.We are using IIS as web server so how do we run the command for not upgrading QVWS feature, but upgrading rest other features.

Susmit
