Hi all,
I've created and published an app that has master items (dimensions and measures).
However these are not visible to anyone except me (probably because I'm the owner).
Can anyone point how to make the master items visible to all users who can access this app in the stream?
On another hand, is it possible to allow users to duplicate the app from the hub?
Or that would be possible only to the app owner?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
We have to achieve this through Custom property.

Rohit,
Can you give more details?
The video doesn't help a lot regarding what I'm specifically asking for.
Which security rules and/or custom properties do I need to create?
Thanks.
Hi Jean,
It's can be done using security rules. You can ask your server admin to alter the security rule to enable your master items visible to the business users.

Karthik
Hello Karthik,
We're handling the deployment and we're new to the admin part of qliksense.
Basically all existing rules are either default or read-only.
Can you point which rule or option might affect the visibility of master items and that we should check and at which level (stream, app, app object, etc.)?
Thanks for your input.
Hi Jean,
Go to streams , create new stream , it will ask user to get access , hive your concern user access to the stream with read and publish , as these two are basic for self services . Then go to aaps , create duplicate of your concerned app , then publish this duplicate app to your newly created stream . That's it . Security rule you need to create only if u are trying to restrict the object or apps from someone , as like , your stream has five user accessed and you want only one user can see any particular app. Hope I answered your question, if not please tell me
Did you solved this issue Jean? having the same issue
i had the same issue and i solved it creating a security rule like this
In our case, there was an error in updating the master items flags in the qliksense db (table AppObjects).
We did that manually (sql update command) and they were then visible to the users.
Jean Pierre,
can you please detail what were the steps you took to find and solve the issue?
same problem here, owner can see Master Items, other users can't.
thanks
