sort in straight table

hi,

i have the next table IN MY SCHEME:

projecttasktask sort
AADS2
AASDFSA1
AASD3
BBFA1
CCASDA2
CCSAFE1
DDVB1
DDFGRE2

I have a straight table fir column project second column task and expressions...

i want that the project will sort abc... and in the project the task sort by 'task sort'

in the sort tab i put the project by abc and task by expression 'task sort'

the firs project is sorted but the rest are not

someone know why??

please find attached. just right click on the second column and say sort.

But, Adi, I used your table from above. I mean the column 'task sort' is taken from your table ?!?

in the sceme there is that column but not in the straight table...

So, if you have the dimension 'task sort' in your qvw, all is fine. You only need the expression 'only([task sort])' for the sorting of the 'task' column. No need of a column 'task sort'.

use the match() function in SORT tab, expression  Match(task,'ASDFSA','ADS','ASD')
