reload data in open document

Hello everyone

I use a qlikview evaluation for monitoring production.

The application shows real-time production data (availability, errors,...)

While this evaluation is visible to all production employees, the file is supposed to update every 15 minutes (while the document is open)

Is that even possible?

Thank you very much

Dominic

Dominic,

Yes, it is possible for Qlikview to do what you're expecting.  If a user is in the QVW and it's reloaded while they're in the document, you can specify they receive a pop-up asking if they want to see the new data or you can have the QVW automatically refresh once the reload has completed.

Take a look at the section "Allow Only One Copy of Document in Memory" on our Help site.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Josh

Where is the app open and how are you performing the reload are the two key things here.  Josh's comment assumes you have Publisher or have configured Reload Engine and are using that to update the app the QVServer is using to allow the users to see the data that way.  I just wanted to be sure this was your use case, as if not, then the answer may not have answered your question, so if it did not, please provide a bit more detail on your environment, and we can be sure we got you the correct answer if not.

Brett
