Dear Nikhil,

In short, QlikView future/career is very good. Money? yes, it would be good as well if you have the expertise(which is true for any technology I believe). Having let you know this, my suggestion would be to concentarte on becoming an expert without being much worried about career/future or money, because those would follow once you are an expert and an experienced techie.

It's a growing skillset within the BI workplace - I've been using Qlikview for around 5 years now, and I'm STILL learning - get a good grounding, attend a training course if you can, and read all the support documents that are on the Qlik.com site.

Qlikview is an addiction, and now with Sense coming, I fear it's only going to get worse.

I think this was a joke about Graeme being more addicted to QlikView because there is more to learn 🙂

There is definitely a shortage of experienced QlikView developers so the market is good right now.

That is always the tricky bit, and not just for QlikView but any new skill.

You can try contacting QlikView partners (see Qlik web site for list of partners) to see if they are recruiting. Alternatively, some partners advertise which customers they provide QlikView support for. You could go to them directly to see if they are recruiting permanent staff or looking for junior developers to train up.
