Hi all,

I have following quetions for SQL Query

  1. Can we draft  a SQL Query?
  2. Does this tool has ability to perform operations on draft queries, so that user can evaluate multiple query?
  3. Can we reuse existing queries to create new query?

Hi Pawan,

Where is the relation with this to QlikView? Are you asking from some advice? What tool are you using to mdo those queries? Can you please elaborate on your requirements?

If you mean whether SQL SELECT statements can be used in QilkView or not, the answer is yes, you can use (and you likely do several hundreds of times) SQL SELECT statements to get information from data sources (any SQL server, SAP, MySQL, Access...) to load them into QlikView memory.

In addition to that, you can use variables should you use a query in a lot of different places in the same document, or in a QVS text file, so you can include the same query in different documents.

Hope that helps.
