Hi,
I have implemented below section access and working fine with desktop version.
ACCESS | NTNAME | NTDOMAINSID | REGION |
ADMIN | AGDT\ADMINISTRATOR | B-16-5-21-464368543-689502253-265866 | |
ADMIN | AGDT\USER1 | B-16-5-21-464368543-689502253-265866 | SOUTH |
USER | AGDT\USER2 | B-16-5-21-464368543-689502253-265866 | NORTH |
USER | AGDT\USER3 | B-16-5-21-464368543-689502253-265866 | EAST |
USER | AGDT\USER4 | B-16-5-21-464368543-689502253-265866 | WEST |
It is running properly in QMC also. After running it, i am unable to open it in access point. While opening it in access point, it is asking for credentials. Entering with user "AGDT\USER1" and window password. But these are not working.
Is there any issue with QMC (11.2 SR8) or problem with my data?
Thanks in advance.

are you trying to reload the document from the server ?? if so try to add the Qlikview Server >service account user name and password ..otherwise it will not allow you to reload from the server
Hi,
try to take a look here: https://community.qlik.com/thread/179577
In particular, when it said:
NTDOMAINSID | A field that should contain a string corresponding to a Windows NT Domain SID. Example: S-1-5-21-125976590-4672381061092489882 QlikView will fetch the logon information from the OS and compare it to the value in this field. |
Then, are you sure that B-16-5-21-464368543-689502253-265866 is the same SID that results in the machine where are you trying to open the application in Access Point?
S.
Since your using NTNAME & NTDOMAINSID it read the user from the network....so that might be causing the issue.
Try to comment the NTDOMAINSID and use the network valid name ....and then go with a vaild NTNAME
Hello Team,
When we are using below script, reloading is failed. Can we add Server password also? or do we need to eliminate first line. Can we implement this method without server password?
ACCESS | USERID | PASSWORD | REGION |
---|---|---|---|
ADMIN | DomainName\Administrator | ||
ADMIN | A | 1 | SOUTH |
ADMIN | B | 2 | NORTH |
USER | C | 3 | EAST |
USER | D | 4 | WEST |

Oh, thanks Avinash. I think i will go ahead with NTNAME since service account password will not be shared by IT... thanks.
Yes, please go with that...NTNAME will solve most of the issue but it will be restricted to the login
Yes Avinash. Thank you.
For example, if i give the access to the person who is not there in my section access table, does he get access to all the data?
For Example. USER A, B , C is there in my section access table and i have given access to
A,B,C,D...
So person D gets access to whole data? This is my general doubt. Have you ever tried?
No, the user who are not listed in the section access will not have access for the Qlikview document
in your case USER D will get a access denied error ....
In order to give the complete access you need to make use of the * option in the section access
