Hi
Our situation is like this:
We have one QVS license.
We are doing all our loading/reloading trough plain windows command scripts (or manually...) (no publisher etc) on that server.
A question:
If we would set up another server, install QV (not QVS) on that,
and then do our loading/reloading on that server, that would not require another QVS license, right?
I guess not, since we do not install QVS on that server, just want to check.
No need you can apply same license key
Hi thanks for the answer,
just to clarify:
I mean if i need another QVS license from a contractual point of view.
you need to have desktop/client licenses.. anyway you are not going to install QVS
If you only have loads being generated by non-QlikView applications, does not require additional licenses. Your applications need to access data applications not extracted by QV.
Now, if you need to have another server QV will be required to have a license to party.
Hi Sivaraj!
thanks for the answer
Yes I am aware that we need qv licenses - we do have that.
Hi Richard!
thanks for the answer, I don't follow you fully:
I have batchfiles starting qv.exe /r so we are running qv of course - and we do have licenses for qv.
However we would not like to pay for a second qvs license,
because the end user applications will be published on another server where we do have qvs.
What is "server QOL" which you mention?
I wrote wrong. My bad writing.
