Multi User Interactive access dashboard feature

Hi Experts,

We are looking for a solution where the dashboard should be able to interactively receive parameters from individual users(more than one at the same time) and refresh the dashboard without affecting the other users.

So far I know that the users can access the dashboard and do their analysis. However, in one of the requirements for our client we would need the users to input a few parameters and based on those parameters the dashboard should be refreshed.

Moreover, the refreshed dashboard graphs could be different for different users based on their parameter selections.

Do we have a solution or work around on the same?

Appreciate any help on this. Thanks heaps.

Regards,

Shyam.

Shyam,

You can use input box or input sum/input field function to receive input from the user.

Possible to create a button to reload in the UI, so that user can reload on inputting the data.

You can create n different charts and give access to n different users(Object level security).

You can use the standard functionality of both Input Boxes and/or Input Fields to achieve what your customer requests. Input Fields will keep their values across subsequent reloads and they belong to the particular user/client that created them - so they are not shared in any way. The values of the Input Fields that have changed are stored at the server. Input Box which is a UI component to edit, calculate/evaluate and display variables on the other hand are volatile and will not be kept across reloads unless you make Bookmarks that include them. So variables could be "stored" along with Bookmarks. Furthermore Bookmarks might be shared between users.

Piecing these different techniques together can give your customer what they need. Keywords:

Input Field, Input Box, Variables, Bookmarks (with the right option set to store variables with BM)
