How to create a table relation

Hello everyone,

I am new to Qlik View, but I have a good knowledge of Qlik Sense.

May someone pleae confirm me this?
To create a relationship between two tables, the only possible way to do this is to have the column that you want to link to have the same exact name, so that this relationship will be automatically set?

There is no other possible way to do this?

I was used to be able to create different relationship with Sense, so I am finding this Qlik View behaviour quite strange.

Many thanks!

hello

that's right

in QV, Relationship is based on columns with same name

so you may have to use AS clause to rename columns if they should be used as keys

Qlik Sense has exactly the same behavior than QlikView, just that the frontend allows you to use the "bubbles" and create the "AS" clause, as Olivier mentions above for you. The resulting script is exactly the same, but in QlikView you don't have such "Data Manager" > "Associations"
