Display Variances to prior year, daily dimension

Hi there.  I want to build a table or tables that compare the variance between last year and this year, but on a daily basis, at the daily level.  When i try to bring in dates from this year and last year, like the 3rd table on the right below, it doesnt display it how i want, nor even calculate the variance correctly because of the dimension.  My end result i am trying to obtain is something like the graphic at the bottom.  I am doing this for an nprinting report so it doesnt have to be all one table, it can be multiple tables and i just display them side by side in the nprint report. But i need it at the daily level and all lined up properly.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  thank you!
