Different Settings for Documents

Hi everyone

I have a problem with the Document OPtion on Qik View Server (SR11).

I'd like to publish a Document where Sizing and Moving Objects is disabled. That works.

But there are two other Documents where I'd need this option.

Can I disable this Option for certain documents and enable it for others in QlikViewServer?

Kind Regards

François

You can set in the the qlikview document. Open the Document Properties window and on the Layout tab disable the option Move/Size. You could also set it per sheet on the Security tab of the properties window of the sheet.

Hi.

I understand it is done just in qvw how aforementioned by gwassenaar‌ and @pokassov.

I don't know any such functionality in Qlikview Server (SR11).

Hope this helps.

And in addition to what has been said before, you can even disable that option per object. See Object Properties->Layout->Options->Allow Move/Size.

But IMHO you cannot do that from outside the document itself (for example somewhere in the Management Console). The reason is simple: as soon as you publish a document on the QlikView server, it becomes immutable. AFAIK only two exceptions exist:

  • The distribution service can reload the data. Actually this is done by a program called QVB.exe which is a Desktop without UI.
  • The QlikView Server can reduce the data at load time. However, this doesn't touch the QVW file.
