monitoring end-to-end qlik up or down status

Hi, I support the infrastructure supporting our qlik server cluster. There are 6 servers with functions like proxy, traffic controller, and scheduler. We have windows uptime monitoring, hard drive space monitoring, etc, but we still have a problem where every once in a while one of the various qlik services will be up but not up, and we don't notice until a user complains. All of the servers seem to have services running on 80, 443, and 4244. Can I monitor these or any combination via http/https post/get calls and look for certain output or anything like that? Qlik seems to do a lot of redirection and such that's making it hard to parse my experimental findings. Before I dig too deep has anyone already tried this?
