User Management

Hi ,

My client will be having 10K+ users both NT and Non NT users. What is the best way to manage the user.

We are using WebTicket as well as Section Access.

Regards,

Parag

Hi Parag,

How are you managing them today within QlikView? What setup/configuration are you currently using?

Are you talking about managing access to documents? Distributed documents?

Hi Parag,

This is quite a complex issue you are asking about. I am assuming you have Active Directory for the NT users, and the other ones?

Do you want to use a single portal with WebTicket? Or different depending where they come from.

DMS authorization would be the way to go, if you need non-NT users to access the documents, QlikView will then handle the security of the files.

Regards,

Erik

I guess that CAL management is the big problem here. The other stuff can be done by connecting SA to AD, and by creating QlikView user groups for document access in AD

We are currently using Webticket mechanism. We have not gone live yet with the set of users.but this will be the situation 2 months down the line...There are users from Domain, Non Domain, Internet, Intranet coming on through a single portal.
