"This site can’t be reached" After Qlik Sense Migration

Hi,

Is it possible to copy the Qlik Sense server to another server as is?

The system administrator guy in our company copied the entire server to a new machine (computer name and IP address remained the same)

Buy now the Page cannot be reached, No access to Apps or QMC.

Another details :
- All services are active
- no firewall active or restriction on ports
- Both are singe node environment
- Old server: hyper-v , New server: vmware

Has anyone tried this type of server copying / migration?
Is there a way to make it work from this point or just restore the previous server?

Tanks

Hi @adimiz123,

Since the product you mention in your post is Qlik Sense, I will move this thread from the QlikView Administration forum to the Qlik Sense Management & Deployment forum.

Regarding the issue you are reporting, have a look at the Qlik Help entry Restoring a Qlik Sense Site.

So we had to back up and restore the certificates?

Anil_Babu_Samineni

What is this server dedicated? Is this File server or Postgre SQL, Engine etc. It depends what you have. If you have steps that you have followed you can share it to us and we will see if we can guide more.

We had the same issue. I traced each step and could not find any issue. At the end, I had security create a new certificate, reinstalled the certificate and it started back up.

You might want to try that.

We just did a Techspert Talks demonstration on this topic: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Techspert-Talks/STT-Migrating-Qlik-Sense-Client-Managed/td-p/2442853

I hope it's helpful.
