Qlik Sense Mobile App - Untrusted Certificate

Hello,

I'm having a problem activating the Qlik Sense Mobile app with a Qlik Sense Enterprise installation hosted in AWS EC2.

It's a basic installation of Windows Server 2019 without IIS, using workgroup for users. Browsers show untrusted connection but it's avoidable by clicking "advanced" and proceeding further, for example.

But with the mobile app this doesn't work, it just refuses to connect showing the message "certificate not trusted".

How can I solve this problem? whereas the Qlik Sense public IP is different from the private IP the Qlik certificate is associated with.

Thanks for any help.

Alessandro

The self signed certificate that Qlik Sense comes with is not considered secure. In most browsers you can choose to continue, like you say. But  Apple has removed this possibility. So if you are using an iPhone that is a known issue, but it is not soething that Qlik can change. The article below explains this more, and how to get around it.

Hello Alessandro,

It sound like you are trying to use the Qlik certificate for an SSL connection. If that is true , that isn't the proper use. You will need to in install a third part certificate.

Below I've listed some resources implementing SSL certificates with Qlik Sense . Also note if using IOS devices , you have to be specific about the certificate used.

Thank you,

So I assume it doesn't matter that the private and public IPs are different, because only changing the Qlik self-signed certificate with a 3rd party trusted CA will solve my problem.

I'll try soon.
