What I am trying to do: Apply read only access to QVD's so that a developer cannot refresh (STORE) specific QVD files. This is the actual file saved to a share not the connection to the folder its contained in.
What we know: We can restrict the file system QVD folders using simple folder connections.
What we have tried: We did attempt to use file system privileges to restrict both the use and writing of QVD's. However, because Qlik Sense uses a system account that has access granted to the file system, all users have the same rights to the QVD's. Meaning that any user with access to a folder connection can write to a QVD.
Is there something I'm missing? Or is this not even possible?
