How to detect and show if a dbf record has been deleted

I have to load all records including deleted records from a dbf file but also show the end-user if a record is deleted.

Why all ?  The resulting  file has to be used as a source for another program that updates some records through ODBC ; however the user has to have an indication is a record is still relevant. My other program has to unique track down a record (only way to make sure it's the record) and in the meantime more records could have been deleted.

I do know that through the config of my ODBC driver I can manipulate if deleted rows has to be loaded but this is outside of qlik

Tried both default ODBC dbf drivers

How can I load all records from a DBF ( through odbc ) and detect if a record is flaged as deleted.

Searching through the internet I did not find any solution if this can be done (only that the first char if each record uses a * to show it is deleted )
