Selection on one Dimension should not effect the values of another Dimension and Wise versa.

Hello All,

When i select a value from  Dimension1,the  other Dimension values are getting faded out... i mean from the below table

SBCB1.PNG

1.0_Fiscal Year,2.0_Fiscal Year ,these dimension are derived as below

SBCB4.PNG

If i Select a value from 1.0_fiscal Year Dimension .the 2.0_Fiscal Year Dimension Values are getting faded out

SBCB2.PNG

and Wise versa

SBCB3.PNG

Without using alternative state is there any other work around ,so that any selection from first Dimension should not effect the values of 2nd Dimension and Wise versa..

Hi naveen,

well, you could use set_analysis and introduce something like {$<Dim1 = >} (for dimension 2, so that any selections on dimension 1 should be disregarded and {$<Dim2 = >} for dimension 1. I'm not sure this will work - my guess would be that if you select something and something else gets grayed out, there is no such combination - but if you are sure there should be values there, you might give this a try.

I think what you might need to change your data model to make this work. The way it is structured, you will have a very difficult time maintaining the front end.
