Hi All,
How to provide dashboard/application access to many users at a time, for instance i want to give access to 1000 user at a time (not manually one by one there is any other process?) for sales application how can i do it? Could you assist on this please.
Thanks,
Nihhal.
The last suggestion. Grant everyone access to the app, use the everyone security rule as an example. Then use section access in the app to limit access to the list of user, https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/1.1/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Scripting/Security/ManagingSecurityWith...
If you use authentication like Active Directory, you can assign a group to the application stream, create a security rule for a specific application or use custom properties to limit access to specific groups.
If you are asking about allocation of licenses, in the QMC license and tokens, you can create a security rule that allocates a license for everyone that the rule validate. For instance if they are all in a specific group.

Hi Jerry - thanks for your response. I am giving example here to better understand.
- I have a application as Sales.qvf
- I created a stream as Sales
- Published sales app to sales stream
- click on security rules option and here if i go to add users one by one till 1000 it takes much time, there is any other process?
I have seen your comments like group, custom properties. How can i create group with 1000 users, as per my knowledge we have to create group while extracting users into QMC am i right? can share if you have any doc on this.
How are your users authenticated?
extracting from active directory.
Check with your active directory administrator to see if there is an active directory group that contains the sales staff. If a group does not exist, see if the administrator can create a sales group and populate it with the sales staff.
In the Qlik Sense security rule, instead of adding users, change it to group and add the active directory group name.
Hi Jerry - Thanks and We can not do anything in Qlik Sense instead of contacting windows (active directory) admin.
