Filter not working in one sheet where as working in other sheet...??

Hi all ,

my issue may be silly for few masters here, but it is new to me.

we have 2 filters HOST_type and RAT_flag, which are not working in summary sheet where as working in other sheet in the same qvw.

as we know this is purely based on the association, the dimensions used in the charts are from the different table than the expressions.

A-B-C   datamodel example.

dimension coming from A table where are fields used in epression are coming from table B. but we have an association between both the tables.

In an another sheet where the filters are working fine - in that sheet as well dimension coming from A table where are fields used in epression are coming from table B. Bit Strange

when i select year 2017 and month sep , i can see some values in the filter are HOST_type are in associated(in white color) but when i select any one of them chart showing nothing.

Any idea on my issue, please respond Thanks in advance.

May be for that HOST there is no data? Can you select 2/3 at a time?

same even if i selected all the associated values in that filter. nothing comes in the chart

Hi,

It seems like HOST_TYPE is Null in most cases and only has a valid value in a few cases, for these cases results for table expressions =0. Try turning on "Display 0 values" in table properties and see what happenes.

Anyway, I'd create a tablebox with HOST_TYPE and maybe Revenu Group and a few fields you use in the table exprsesions and check data there.

tried the same, in the above stright table added host type as an another dim then result nothing.

here the issue is if suppose the value showing is 15K for 2017, sep for one perticular revenue group, in the host_type filter 3 values are associated- means that 15k should devide between these 3 values but which is not happening.

where as perfectly working in other sheets/tabs with the same filters.no idea where is the mistake

Maybe some sort of set analysis? Can you post one of epxressions from that table?

Upload it with a subset of data as long as we can see the issue
