Hi all
I need to make a map in QlikView which is divided into Danish zip-code areas. The zip-code areas should be coloured according to number of university students living in the area and they should be dynamic (you should be able to click on them).
I have found a similar solution in Tableau (with counties instead of zip-codes though):
http://akkr.dk/geografisk-uddannelsesstatistik/
- but really need to know if this is at all doable in QlikView.
Can anyone help with some information?
Thanks a bunch
Cheers Bruno
Hi Bruno
Take a look at this link:
SvgReader mapping extension now stored on GitHub
Depending on the need for quality maps can be found here:
Free:
Danmarks Administrative Geografiske Inddeling (DAGI) – KML version | Neogeografen
These can be converted
Not free:
https://www.maps4office.com/shop-detail/vectormaps-eps-ai-svg/dk-denmark-postal-code-map-4-digits/
Another solution is to do it in Qlik Sense which has a much better map object solution.

Hi Bruno,
This is all do-able within Qlikview.
Check out the various mapping extensions that are available, Qlik Branch is a good place to start!
As long as you can map your zip codes to lat and long (might be able to find the data online) or possibly use an SVG and map the zip codes to this
Hi,
Fyi, the map extension IdevioMaps for QlikView has all the Danish zip code areas built in.
Just use zip code plus the country code (= zip & ',DK') in order to render any area.
Check out the demo at QlikMarket. We would be happy to send you a test license, just visit Contact Form « idevio.com to request one.
Thanks,
Patric Nordström, Idevio
