Formatting error messages

Hi,

Is there any way to format the error messages that will show up when the calculation condition on a chart is not fulfilled.

I need to change the Font and make the background transparent for the error message.

Please advice.

Thanks,

Jyotsna

Hello Jyostna,

Please find attached image, Hope it will help you.

Go to Chart Properties -> General Tab -> Error Message Button.

Apply your logic for Custome Error Message.

You can only change the text of the error message, you cannot add styling.

As an alternative, use a layout conditional show property instead of a calculation condition. Then you can have a Text Object with the inverse show condition that is styled however you want.

I know how to display custom error messages, but I want to change the font and format my error message.

The button there doesn't provide any options to format the message.

Thanks,

Thanks Rob, it's bad to know that we don't have an option to change formatting.

Yes, I did try the alternative that you were saying, but unfortunately my server is bit slow in loading the objects, so the underlying text box appears first in all cases and then the actual chart, this is looking bit awkward.

Thanks,
