Unable to see some data connections

Hello.

Recently upgraded our environments to Qlik Sense Enterprise May 2024 release.

We have apps that use the monitor_apps_REST_app Data connection and have been successfully doing so for years.

Recently, when I open the app, I only see the monitor_apps_qlikview_logs connection listed in the Data load editor and none of the others.  When I try to Load data, this error is thrown:  "Connection 'monitor_apps_REST_app' not found: LIB CONNECT TO 'monitor_apps_REST_app'".

Looking at the Data Connections in the QMC, I see that all the monitor_apps_* connections do exist.

When I check the security rules on them, I see that the default SecurityAdmin rule is enabled, but the default ContentAdmin rule is not. The same rule configuration is applied to all data connections, yet I am able to see monitor_apps_qlikview_logs but not monitor_apps_REST_app.

My User account has both SecurityAdmin  and ContentAdmin privs. When I check User access on the connectors, my user has full CRUD access. Yet I cannot see them in the app.

I also checked one of our other environments which has all of the default Security rules enabled, and despite being both a ContentAdmin and SecurityAdmin, I'm getting the same results there - so I don't think the issue is the security rules. I can see monitor_apps_qlikview_logs but none of the other monitor_apps_* connectors.

Any idea why this is so?

Regards,

Steven

Hi, note that you may have access to the data connection on qmc, but no on hub, using he audit section you can check the permission of a user to a data connection and see which security rules are giving you permission for that especific data connection.

Have you checked the rule giving access to the monitor_apps_qlikview_logs data connection? Maybe this gives you a hint of what's happening.
