Hide tabrow will hide the tabs at the top which you use to navigate between sheets.

Hiding the row means users cannot navigate and you will need to use buttons to move between sheets,

This is quite common as it gives users a more 'web like' feel.

Hi,

Hide tab row will useful for Look & feel purpose.

Normally while developer doing development he will show all the tabs (Ex:- 20 tabs)  but in this only 4 tabs only have useful data for User point of view.

For this Developer will select Settings-->Document Properties--> Hide Tab row Option Check Box .

and inside of the on open sheet tab/Start Page developer will create buttons and create action for the next activated sheets (ex:-2nd sheet ,7 sheet,16 sheet,20th sheet but actual .qvw file have 20 sheets)

as per the user understandable sheet names.
