I have a line graph. the dimension is a DB date in the format 'MMM YYYY' then the expressions are data items (numeric) associated with this date.
My problem is, I want to include all dates for the next 2 years along the graph, but still have the data attached to the DB date (with zero value if date not on DB).
e.g.
Jan 2010 has value of 20
Feb 2010 has value of 30
Apr 2010 has value of 40
Jun 2010 has value of 50
I want Mar 2010 to appear on the graph with value of zero even though the date doesn't exist on the DB?
Thanks
Hi Paula,
I made a little example for you.
In this document I created a master calender which starts on the first day of the "Date"-field from my excel document and ends on the last day of that field. But it creates all days in between. In my Excel document I don't have any data for Februari 2010 but as you can see it does show in the charts.
Check the load script of the Qlikview document to see what I have done.
If you have any questions just let me know.
Good luck.
In presentation tab uncheck delete vull value
If you want that Mar 2010 appear, it should exist on the DB.
Thanks - I wondered if there was a way to "merge" the dates that don't exist on the DB into the dimension array of dates from the DB?
What you need is a calender that generates all months for you.
This way you can select the month from the calander and not the month from you database.
