do a search on the community and you will find many example of people asking about MTD and YTD, I suggest having a look first.

Hi,

I would suggest using the same approach as Miguel Garcia and Barry Harmsen in the book 'QlikView 11 for Developers', i.e. declaring many different sets (MTD, MTD Last Month, YTD, YTD Last Year...) in a text file, from which they are loaded into variables. When you write set analysis for your expressions, all you need to do is reuse these expressions - I have not had to touch mine for a long time, which simplifies development a great deal.
