Unable to lease a license

Hi All,

I am having a major problem at the moment with getting my of Qlikview out of Personal version. I had it installed onto my old laptop and was leasing a license fine, however since I have moved to my new machine I am unable to lease a license.

I have copied the URLS across the same as previous and it looks as though everything is configured correctly.

Is there anything I need to do to release my lease before obtaining a new one?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

James

You have to open a file on the QV server.

File --> Open in Server -->

Fill in the server name (QVP://Servername) and then connect.

You see then the list of documents in th sercond part.

Now you have a licence leased from the server.

You could lease a licence only two-times at the same time. If you had leased one per access point and one to the old machine (and the run-time of 30 days since the last access is currently active yet) you couldn't lease a further licence. If you have further access to the old machine you could open qlikview and clear the licence within the user-properties.

Another possibility is that the communication between your new machine and the qlikview server is blocked by a firewall or group policies, for example it needs some open ports. I believe it was 4747 - but if you searched for it you will find which ports are necessary.
