How can i show alternate labels in a chart?
by showing all the labels, the chart looks messy.
Write up condition to filter them all.
Thanks..but can you please elaborate a bit more. I am not able to get you.
Hi ,
Just on expressions of the chart there is conditional box check it and the write your expression as you need
if(year='2010',1,0)
Hence it will just show when the year will be 2010 else hidden .
i got your point but in my case the scenario is this way:
i need to show all the data but want not all the labels to be visible. i want alternate labels to be hidden, just the labels and not the data related to them.
Hi Sahil,
Dimension fields : Open Properties of Chart : --> Properties--->Label ( Fill the field name which you want )
for Expression fiels :- Open Properties of Chart : --> Properties--->Expression- Label (Fill the field name which you want )
Assume that you are talking about dimension legends. If so, Best way to allow the scroll along the x-axis (Presentation tab) and let qv decide the interval of legend if not fitting all. Or, you might even try for vertical legend.
So we cannot fix some legends to be hidden and some to be displayed of our own?
Not really.
Hi,
I don't know exactly what you need, but a simple solution is to use the parameter max number of value in "presentation" in you chart.
In your expression, when you clic the "+", put a condition in the "show value" expression. If your condition is true, the value on data point will be shown.
