Set analysis to neglect few dimensions and include others

Hi All,

I am trying to compare my firm level sales with the drill down/selected dimensions.

       Dimensions I have :

          1. Date

          2. Product_Category

          3. Product Name

        Expressions:

           SUM(Sales).

Here I want to just include only date dimension when i am selecting entire firm level sales  and I want to exclude product_category and product dimensions.

I tired this  but is not behaving right..

SUM({$<Date>}Sales) . Can you suggest me correct set analysis expression?

Thanks

Try with this:

SUM({< Product_Category=, Product_Name= >}Sales)

If you want to ignore the dimension and not the selection then you want to use the TOTAL keyword, e.g., sum(total<Date> Sales)

Hi,

You can try below expression:

=if(GetSelectedCount(firm) = 0,

sum({<Product_category=,Product_name=>}Sales),sum(sales))

Thank's to you Jagan, I was able to do something, after a few hours, I thought was impossible:

Count( TOTAL <FieldMonth> Distinct{$<SiteField={'147'}>} Order#)

Super useful to know how to add-on to a Set Operator!

Thank you!
