Send Email Alert on QlikView

Hi.

I'm starting to verify every task of my qmc and need to know how the alert email work.
Can i sincronize an alert with some folders?
I need to send an alert to different users.

The setup for whom the failed tasks should email is correctly pointed out by @Claudiu_Anghelescu , but it will send emails to all on that list for all failed tasks.

To create a more sophisticated alert logic I suggest you take a look at the SMTP WebConnector. It could be used for generating custom alert email distributions.

There is one other option not mentioned by the other posters:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/November2018/Subsystems/QMC/Content/QV_QMC/QMC_PublisherDocumen...

This would require you have multiple Source Document Folders configured though, and a BIG caveat if you do not have them currently and want to create things.  If you do this via the QMC, you will break your tasks when you start changing things...  What you would want to do is figure out your new folder structure, get that setup and copy the pertinent QVW files etc. to their new folders, and when everything is ready, you would then have to copy the task from the existing folder/QVW over to the new folder/QVW, there is no better way to 'cheat' on this one I am afraid.  Just be sure once you copy over to the new location and test, you disable things on the old folder/QVW...  This does also assume you have a Publisher license, if you just have a Reload Engine, then there is no good way to do this other than the other tool Vegar mentioned, but I do not know if that works with Reload Engine or not...

If one of the posts did work, be sure you return to the thread and use the Accept as Solution button on the one that helped, and if you are still working on things, please leave an update regarding what you still need.

There is perhaps one other way to go at this too, and that would be a notification email to the end users letting them know the app has updated, as if they do not get the email when they expect it, they would know something has gone wrong and report it...

Hi everyone, i still have this issue.

I've looked on my QMC and there's no QlikView Publisher license assigned, just on the Window QlikView Server. I've arealy many folders on my QlikView Server.

I was thinking make an automatic forward on the e-mail so every e-mail that QlikView Server send to me is going to sended to my users too, but i think thats not efficient.

About the notifies, it wouldn't work because my users have a lot of tasks and they gonna recive email every time.

The only other option of which I can think is if you have a third party scheduling system, you could potentially use the EDX trigger option at that point to trigger things from that system and if that system can email, it could check the end status of things and then send things.  Only other way of which I can think.
