Scheduled jobs are not running in qmc

Hi All,

The scheduled tasks do not run in our qmc and we need to manually execute it on daily basis.

All the services are up and running.

What can be the probable reason for this ?

Expert suggestions required.

Regards

Hi Alex,

Yes, they run most of the time.  Over the last 3 weeks the trigger is just skipped randomly on some jobs.  Then it accelerated and now most nights when the jobs run are skipped.  Or worse yet, the top level job is triggered but dependent triggers just don't run.

For anyone else who is interested.....  I just spoke to support and was given the following advice.  I am trying the first one currently and will know in a few days if it succeeds.

  1. Edit QVManagementService.exe.config file in the Program Files\Qlikview\Management Service folder.  In there we changed the QMSChunkSize value from 100 to 50.
  2. Rename the Distribution Service directory in ProgramData\Qliktech and create an empty version.  The service will completely rebuild it.  Warning that this will clear all task history on the Management Console.

Hopefully one of these solutions work

Hi Arture,

I am  involved with this issue for about 3 months.Actually I read your last solution in another thread and  followed it,it got fixed for a day or more, but the problem still exists, and reload jobs run without any order or rule,I would be very thankful if  you explain about the solution and how it works and help me out of this.

thanks,

I know we updated the server version to the latest release around that time.  I can't recall if it was for this but it's possible that fixes it for you.

this solution solved my problem.
