You should have asked the interviewer his definition of Advanced! and is he expecting to hear Scripting or charting functions

There are many functions.

In script, advanced functions could be user defined functions in script which we call it as Subroutine.
Some more advance functions in script could be

Statistical functions

Inter record functions

Mapping Functions

In chart, advance function could be Aggr

Some more advance functions in chart could be

Dollar expansion

Chart Inter record functions

You can search individually on this functions on community or on google, there are lot of good resources available.
