Qlikview dashboard: Updating Excel data source(s) to Informatica

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Qlikview and am unable to find a clear answer to my question despite having searched the community far an wide.

Synopsis:

I created a prototype QlikView dashboard that utilizes six Excel files as data sources. These flat-files are essentially snapshots of data from other sources, and the QVD Builder utilizes joins between said files. The prototype has been approved, and I will now create/remake this dashboard to utilize an Informatica connection for up-to-date and continuously updated company data.

Questions:

Where do I start in order to switch the data source(s) from Excel files to the Informatica source that has been specifically created for this project? Is it as simple as replacing the Excel relative pathnames with the Informatica pathnames within the QVD Builder?

Thanks in advance!

Yes to switch replace your excel loads with the Informatica extract loads. But it won't be just changing path names, I assume you would be needing a connector to fetch data into Qlikview.
