QMS not starting up QV 12.2 SR

Hi All,

We are using QV 12.2 SR and QMC stopping, restarted the services several times but no luck.

Below is the information in the event view. Please adivse how to make this working again. Access point is working fine. Let us know if any more information is required.

The description for Event ID 700 from source QlikViewServer cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Session stop reason: Session expired after idle time

Thanks,

Sijo

With as you state the "...QMC stopping", it surely does so with an error message? Can you attach a screenshot here?

The Event Log entry you post is for the QlikViewServer. You do not need a QlikView Server to get an operational QMC (although the QMC will show a lot of red warnings & banners if the QVS isn't running).

The title says "QMS not starting". How did you notice that? You visited the Services control panel, started an inactive QMS and after a while it shows an error message about being unable to launch the service? What error message?

If the QMS fails to start, the ManagementService logs will contain a pointer to the reason of failure. Please post the last QMS log that covers such a failure. You can find those logs on your server in folder C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\Log. The logs are named YYYYMMDD.log; pick the one from a date when you tried to start the QMS and it broke down.
