Hi.

In QlikView we don't have any such layer.

In a way you can use qvd's to perform ETL/ Transformation part.

Hi

You can build an intermediate data store in a data layer by using a set of QVD generator models (QVW files) that store QVD files for all your data sources. Then the business layer can build the models from the QVD files rather than going direct to the data sources.

This allows the combination of proper governance, control and scheduling of the queries hitting the data sources, and flexibility and consistency for the development f the final qvw files.
