Mapping

HI All ,

Can someone please tellme what is maaping in qlikview .

I have been told to MAP the below things .

Model.cad= ModelView.cad

Model.Game= ModelView.Game

Can please someone tell me what is this and can u give me a very simple example for the same

I think it's more about linking key fields of tables rather than mapping field values, then?

If you don't qualify the table LOADs,the tables should automatically link by these two fields, cad and Game.

To avoid a synthetic key, you can create a composite key made out of these two fields.

They could well be referring to Applymap, if so then this blog explains it :

yes i have this fields

Actaully its an excel sheet with 4 fields in each and there are two 2tables

Table:Model

cad

Game

Dept

Location

Table : ModelView

cad

Game

City

Code
