Map Integration - Internet Access

Hi,

i have a question regarding the map integration (google map) in qlikview documents.

Usually in our use case szenario the customers do not have an internet connection on the server.

What i want to understand is who will start to make the request to Google for downloading the image map (in chart i have set up the dynamic image option where i have the call to google for getting the map with the right zoom level)? The Client or the Server?

Is it sufficient that the client has an internet access? If not, which other option there are for integrating a map in Qlikview without having an internet access on server side?

Thanks for ur help!

Patric

I have found my answer:

When opening through the Access Point the server will be pulling down the map image and then sending it down to the client.

So therefore if there is no connection on server side the map won't work.

The SVG map extension can be used without Internet access on the server.

You can find it latest releases of QlikView.
