Logs in Qlikview

Hi!

I have one question.

I have a application hosted on the server, when a user view the application and export the data of a object to a excel. So does somewhere some log get generated on the server for this activity(when the user export the data to excel). So that we can keep a track how frequently the data is exported from the document and by which user.

This can be done (do a point) in v10 onwards.

In the Server QEMC under System > Loggind check the box 'Enable Audit Logging of Client Activity'.

Now are very detailed log file will be generated where you specify in the Log Path box.

You can then use a variation of the Server monitoring Application to (or create your own) to read the log file to provide the required analysis.

From my investigations (into v10) the different types of export (to Excel, Print, Export) aren't readily identified thus making reporting difficult. This may have been updated in v11.

Hope that helps,
