Layout import via "-prj" doesn't work

I've tried doing exactly what Rob Wunderlich adviced to do here: How to import document layout, but nothing happened. I.e. the resulting qvw-file didn't contain neither the layout nor the script.

This is info on my QV installation:

Any ideas on why this is so and how to make the importing work?

Thanks in advance!

In my experience, Export/Import  does not work well with Personal Edition. I think it may be designed this way.

Try the export and import with a licensed edition.

Make sure that the qvw you are opening has been opened and saved as a qvw before importing. It's not enough to use the "create new QlikView document" form the Windows explorer menu.

Tried it: on the machine where I have QlikView Personal it seems working --

after making what you had told I received an error message "Cannot open the

document because it was created by another user". So maybe import would

work, but I cannot see it due to QV version limitations.

But on a machine with licensed version of QV nothing happened again --

trust me that I've made all the steps correctly.

Maybe there's an issue with QV version on that second machine of mine? What

info should I provide you with for you to make a conclusion?

Was the export done by a licensed version?  Which version?

No, I've done export in Personal Edition (12.10.10000.0)

Info on licensed version number is in the first post.
