Hyperlink help please.

I have a dashboard which has a table which displays student information like name,dob,school address.The request is to have a folder for each student when clicked will map to the data base which has a student information document.

ex:

Student name      DOB            School      Document

ABC                   123               abc         

DEF                    456              def          

GHI                     789              ghi          

Here when I click it should MAP to to the database called ProInf which has the information for that particular student.

Can anybody please help me here.

Not sure what you mean by 'map to the database'. If you want to diplay information on a student, why not load that data into the same model? Or load it into a different QV model and use document chaining.

That is a word document which has all the information.I mean we want to map to that schools sharepoint site where that documnet is located.

Thehyperlink would be, https://Cobbschools\student\document.

So under that document folder we have the word documnet to all the students.

So you mean you want to link to a page on the sharepoint site. I am not sure if you can create a link on an image, but for a normal expression, set the type to Link and enter an expression that returns a string of the format:

     displayed text<url>web page

Can you tell me what is the use of first expression which is '=1'

Also,Can i put an image instead of Hyperlink displayed as column value.So,when I click on the image that will open the web page.

Hi Stacey,

I guess Embedding a picture with a hyperlink in a table is not that simple i guess and  we need some kind of extensions for that.

'=1' is for my testing purposes. you can remove that actually.

But as an alternative you try the attached technique.
