Hi Everyone,
I am using an ordered string variable for my x axis, normally on charts I would set this to be diagonal so that I can fit all of the labels in without the need to vertically stack them. There doesn't seem to be an option to do this in a grid chart??
Thanks
Gareth
Hi,
You can try this and it worked for me.
Create the Grid chart with the required Dimesnions and expressions. Save the application.
Now
1. Go to the Chart Properties by right clicking on the chart
2. Go to General Tab : Change the Chart Type to Bar Chart
3. Go to Axes tab and now change the Dimension Axis to diagonal for both Primary and Secondary.
4. Now go to General tab again and set the chart type to Grid Chart.
Hope you can get with this.
Please see the attached sanpshot that shows diagonal axis labels for grid chart.
Cheers.
Any luck on this? I also seem to be unable to change the orientation of axis labels in grid charts. This is in QV10 SR2.
Regards,
Michael
Sorry Michael, I wasn't able to figure out how to achieve this. I simply had to use numeric variables instead of the string and utilise a key. Not ideal - so if you do figure out how to do this, please reply to this post.
Hi Campbell ,

If i find any way to crack this i'll update the information to you ...

Thanks n Cheers.
Thanks for the workaround! It's clearly a bug in QV that needs attention.
