Configurable ODBC

Hello all,

I have an application that is on our extranet and will be used by some of our vendors.    We currently use the Active Directory to assign permissions internally and we are not planning to include these vendors into our AD groups.

We will have about 30 of these external vendors (each with their own loop and reduced version of an app) and I'd like to create a small DB to hold their login information and tie them to their reduced version of the app.

I've read the QMC help section on this, but I have a few questions.

1:  Can we use any ODBC database to hold the entity and groups table?   MS Access for example?

2:  Do the users passwords go into the entity table?  if so, what is the recognized field name?

here are some screen shots of what I have so far.   I made an ODBC connection I named "ODBC_LDAP".  I'm getting an error message saying "Datasource name not found and no default driver specified"
