CAL and products to be purchased

hi guys,

I need to create Qlikview document and my user should be enable to access it from remote location. Please tell me which CAL and Qlikview product i need to purchase.

Hi Tarun,

You need full set up if you want like this

1- Server- where QV application can be host and publish

2- Licences- Depend on your access type and usage of application

     i- Named CAL - One user can access N applications.

     ii- Document CAL- one user can access One Document.

session and usage cal not generally used.

3-Session CAL

Session CAL is not tied to a specific user or a machine. Session CALs allows a single user to access multiple document. Session CALs are used in a setup when there are large number of non-frequent users. Users can use the license as long as it is available. A Session CAL is locked for a minimum of 15 minutes, when used. If a specific user is not accessing a document for over 15 minutes then this CAL is available and can be used by other users.

4- Usage CAL

A Usage CAL gives a user the ability to initiate one session i.e. accessing one document per running 28-day period.This license is also not tied to a specific user. Usage CAL and Session CAL can be used in combination.

after assigning CAL's to application there is a process like you have to mount your application to access point..

than you can access your application through WEB.

You tell me how many users going to access application and how many applications going to deploy on server??

1- Document cal is cheaper than other CAl's than Name CAL than other two.

depend on requirement to access app and user's, CAL should be purchased.

two users will be there. one developer will be creating the QVD.

what about applications?? how many applications going to develope??

2 user require at least two license .. if there i only one app to access than you can take DOCUMENT or DOC CAL else if there is number of application than u need to take NAMED cal so you can access number of application.

For Developer Qlikview Application license required.. it comes with complete package.. please Contact OEM for commercials and all.
