username and password prompt when using ipaddress inplace of localhost on the system

Hi All,

I have installed Qlikview 9 Server in my system to access the application through web. everything is working fine when i use http://localhost.qlikview. but when i use ip address of the system inplace of localhost it gives a prompt to enter the username and password.

I enter my system username and password but it doesn't accept it .

Can anybody tell methe sollution

Hi Surender,
Most likely it's your browser (IE) that is prompting you, due to being in the wrong security zone. Check at the bottom of the browser to verify if you're in Local Intranet zone or Internet zone. If required, add the IP-no to the Local Intranet zone in your browsers security settings.

When entering your network credentials make sure you include the domain like domain\user or user@domain.com.
