Hi Dear QV Community
I have a Question, one a our customer actually works fine with DMS Security Mode, but now needs movo to NTFS because, wants connect Qlik NPrinting to this QlikView Server. The question is if a change, I suppose that i will have to assign permissions to the users in the folders where the QVWs are stored, this is correct? And i need another permission or condition to change or assing?
Thanks
Setting the permissions on folders or files should be the only change required. Note if using Publisher, this will be taken care of automatically during distribution.

In NTFS windows takes care of the authentication so you will have to assign users access to the various folders .
Does this customer have a Publisher? And are all users defined in AD? Then the move is seamless.
But maybe you should tell us why the customer started using DMS in the first place. Wasn't there something that NTFS couldn't provide all by itself?
Hi Dear pcammaert
Thanks for your answer, the customer does not have QV Publisher and the reason to start with DMS was that DMS is easier to maintenance than NTFS.
Thanks
