How to get persistent colors in Qlik Sense charts

Generally, Qlik Sense does not assign a specific color to the same expression or dimension in different charts. Moreover it is possible that the color of a dimension/expression changes in a chart if  some selections are performed or after a reload and a refresh.

In some cases it is useful to have a persistent color for a dimension or an expression in the charts.

Environment

• Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2019 and higher 
• Qlik Sense Business 
• Qlik Cloud 

Resolution

It is possible to get persistent colors for dimensions and expressions in Qlik Sense by using master items.

As it is described here, it is possible to assign a specific color to the master measures and master dimensions, and this color persists in all visualizations.

It is also possible to create library colors as shown in this article.

In order to avoid any conflict, be sure to use a specific name for each master item.
