Hi Robert,

I hope I haven't missed the boat on a copy of your report.

I would love to take a look at it as I am undertaking the same task and am happy to provide you with my findings to compare.

Thanks

No you haven't (missed the boat).

I'm keeping an eye on Power BI. Lots of changes but they still have not addressed the key negative points raised in this report. I'm unsure why as they are obvious (and lots voted for them on the Power BI website) and important.

Hi Robert 99

Could you please send my a copy of your comparison?

Another aspect that is important for me is the ablity to search within the selectors. This is kind of must have for us.

The last time we checked this was not possible with Power BI.

I fully agree with Hans Son comment regarding the pricing.

A monthly cost of 20$ is much higher than Power BI's, but I would happily pay such extra

IMHO - I wouldn't recommend jumping directly into TypeScript, whilst one doesn't understand the nitty-gritty details of JavaScript. TypeScript is the superset language. Jumping directly into TypeScript without understanding enough JavaScript might be a trap. I think languages that compile down to JavaScript are supposed to improve ones productivity; but not replace it altogether. So, one should focus on understanding JavaScript first before jumping into TypeScript.

Cheers,

DV

Hi Deepak,

I totally agree with you. Understanding javascript is very important as TypeScript code is converted to Javascript functions during run time in Power BI. So for debugging and even understanding TypeScript, Javascript is mandatory.

Thanks,

Sangram.

‌Hi Rob, I would really appreciate a copy of your comparison report, and any comments regarding the recent improvements in Power BI, I think the new feature of being able to expose reports in public websites is an interesting one as to do this with Qlikview/Sense you need to purchase their expensive server (£40k/£70k).

Many thanks!
